Kramer Journey

Thursday October 4th 2018:                 On October 4th, I turned 37 weeks exactly and had my "36 week"  appointment. My blood pressure was high ( as it had been for weeks prior). When my OB came into the room she said something along the lines of  "Let's have a baby today". I was shocked and completely unprepared. She started discussing me getting induced that day. I asked if I could go home and get my bags first and the OB advised that Tim could go home and get the bags and that I would not be leaving. I was met just outside of the appointment room with a nurse and a wheelchair. I was then taken by wheelchair to Labor and Delivery to be induced. How has it been 15 weeks already?!         I always have the best intention to do a Weekly Update/Youtube Update....maybe today will be the day that starts!  There have definitely been some downers so far with this pregnancy, but I will limit that information to try to keep this as upbeat as possible! If you are curious what the downers have been, definitely comment or message me and we can talk about it! In 2015 Tim and I began our journey of trying to conceive. After some time we realized that the Testosterone that Tim was taking had completely diminished his sperm count. After stopping his Testosterone Tim's count then went to a "normal" range. After the count was in normal range for quite some time, and still not conceiving, we decided it was time for me to get checked out as well. At this time we found out I had PCOS ( Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome). My irregular periods were a result of having PCOS which made it difficult not only to get pregnant but even to track ovulation. I was given my first round of Clomid, 50mg to assist in regulating my cycle and force ovulation to occur. On cycle day 21 I had my bloodwork done to check if ovulation had occured. My progesterone was less than 1. Typically after ovulation your progesterone should be at least above 10. The OBGYN  then decided to bump my Clomid up to 100mg for my next cycle. After taking Clomid on cycle days 3...

Yesterday was my last day of taking Clomid for this cycle. I'm so excited to report that the only side effect that I have experienced from Clomid was hotflashes! 😌 Have a blessed day everyone!

Finally! After a 49 day cycle, I am finally on my next cycle! Today is CD 3 and the First day of Clomid!! I thought I was going to escape the side effects today. The only side effect I've had today was hot flashes, and holy cow do these hot flashes come on quick but fortunately don't last very long!

November 30th, 2017 Hello and thank you for stopping in to check out our blog!  While talking to Tim earlier today, he asked why I have not kept up with my weekly Youtube videos or blog and I could not give him a reason other than thinking that no one cares to read these or follow our journey. He made a great point replying that its not about who cares or who reads it, but for me to use it as a source of "venting". So here I am, to give some updates, to "vent" and get back on this blogging saddle :) -Brooke Updates on Tim: Tim has been doing a wonderful job getting back to his regular self. He has visited a neurologist after his amnesia episode. The neurologist verified that Tim did indeed have Transient Global Amnesia and also has likely been having Partial Focal Seizures for most of his life, and that a medication he was on likely lowered the seizure threshold. Last Week: (Please read until the end, thank you <3) Monday: Met my new Urologist, who was AMAZING. Gave me three options, two of which include surgery and I need to decide by my appointment next month which method of surgery I choose. Tuesday: While getting ready to leave my house and head into work, I receive a phone call from my husband's work that he has no idea where he is, what is going on, etc. I arrive there in a record breaking 6 minutes, where I meet my husband in the jail lobby and he does not recognize me. He had no idea who I was as far as my name or being married, didn't know where we were at or what had happened. He also was repeating questions over and over every few minutes. It was a bit difficult to get him to get into my car, however his LT. and the 911 coordinator both assisted. Once in the car my husband repeatedly asked where we were at, what happened, and where we were going. Even though I would answer his questions, he would quickly forget.  Pr...

7/7/17 Today I visited my new Urologist. In the first few minutes he already suggested that I had Interstitial Cystitis, which my primary care provider had previously suggested. My Uro. gave a list of suggested food and drinks to remove from my diet and to begin taking Prelief . He also gave me several information packets on suggestions of what my next steps should be, including: Interstim , Botox , and also one where a nerve in my ankle would be stimulated. Of course each comes with their own pro and con. I go back in one month to see if any changes have helped from the Prelief and what I choose as my next treatment option.

An Intro to Our Married Life May 18th, 2015 How did we meet? Tim and I met in August 2014 where we both worked at Putnam County Adult Detention Facility. I was a Corrections Officer and Tim was a Deputy. In May 2015, after I lost a bet, we decided we were going to get married! ( I really do not recommend making huge life decisions with bets! ;) ) Two weeks later we were getting married at the Courthouse! Who was at the wedding?
